Name's Adam. White male, from Poland, adult, transmisogyny-exempt. Marxist-Leninist. Engineering student. Will attempt to communicate in: polski, English, Deutsch, Español. Learning: Arabic and French.

General interests: Modern history – especially the French Revolution and proto-socialist movements, but also the "long nineteenth century" in general, the Haitian Revolution, the USSR, the Spanish Civil War, the anti-colonial struggle in Africa and beyond... Engineering, civil and military alike. Physics, astronomy and maths. Figurative art – socialist realism and nineteenth-century engravings. Poetry and translation. I also play the piano and guitar :3

Music: Metal – primarily black & death metal, but it runs the gamut from Spectral Lore to Znous to Black Kirin to Blood Abscission. Classical – nothing too exotic, mostly Chopin, Alkan, Mendelssohn and Tchaikovsky. "Warszawianka" (1905) is an all-timer, as is Avraamov's Symphony of Factory Sirens".

Literature: Hugo, "Les Misérables" and "Quatrevingt-treize"; Jasienski, "I Burn Paris"; the works of Lem in general. I really like Szymborska's poetry, Przybyszewska's dramas and Baldwin's essays. Although I mostly read non-fiction nowadays.
